Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman: Tim Bradley breaks it down

Published:

Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman for Fundora’s WBC super welterweight title was originally set for October 25 before Fundora sustained a hand injury. The rescheduled date is set for March 28, with Fundora’s title still on the line. Both fighters recently met at a press conference, expressing their confidence ahead of fight night. However, two-weight world champion Tim Bradley has broken the fight down on his own YouTube channel, expressing doubt that Thurman has what it takes to beat Fundora.

Tim Bradley discusses Fundora vs Thurman

Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs) was last seen delivering a beat-down to Tim Tszyu in their rematch, with Tszyu retiring after round seven. That win made it three wins in a row since Fundora suffered a shock KO loss against Brian Mendoza.

Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) has dazzled at times during his career, but in recent years, injuries and inactivity have contributed to his career stalling. Wins over Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter show the elite abilities he had at his best. It remains to be seen if enough of Thurman’s skills remain.

Bradley breaks down Fundora vs Thurman

Reflecting on his own career, while looking ahead to Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman, Bradley said:

“Every guy that I’ve ever faced that talk s**t, like Kendall Holt, Nate Campbell, I think Lamont (Peterson) talk some s**t too if I’m not mistaken. Joel Casamayor, he talked s**t too. All of them had breaking points. Every last one of them had a breaking point. They got in the ring, they felt that heat and that heat never stopped, and mentally they got discouraged. That’s what it was.

“I see the same thing happening in the Fundora-Thurman fight. I think Thurman will be up. He will be gamed. But if he don’t knock out Fundora, he don’t knock him out, he don’t hurt him several times, and Fundora is still right there bringing that heat, Keith Thurman going to get his a** broken. He going to get broken. Thurman got a breaking point. And I seen it.

“Can anybody guess what fight that you saw Thurman being obedient to what was going on in the ring?”
