After a long month and a half of waiting for the UFC to return in 2026, we are finally less than a week away from January 24th’s big UFC 324 event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This event will be the coming out party for UFC on Paramount / CBS and matchmakers have stacked the card with solid fights from start to finish. Umar Nurmagomedov, Deiveson Figueiredo, Jean Silva, Rose Namajunas, Derrick Lewis, and Sean O’Malley are all fighting on this card, which is headlined by a interim lightweight title fight between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett.
And with the return of UFC comes the return of UFC Countdown. The promotion released the full episode this morning, and it weighs in at just 25 minutes. That’s probably because the other title fight set for UFC 324 — Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes for the women’s bantamweight title — was scrapped due to a Harrison neck injury a few days ago. With no time to send camera crews out to the “Suga” Ranch, it’s all main event now.
“Scousers don’t get knocked out,” is Paddy Pimblett’s philosophy coming into his UFC 324 interim title fight with Justin Gaethje. Through the Countdown show, he and his team focus on taking Gaethje down and subbing him, but “The Baddy” made it clear that he sees a knockout win as a possibility. He also acknowledges Gaethje’s power … but notes that he’s never been knocked out before.
Those days could end if he loses to Pimblett on Saturday night, so make sure to tune into UFC 324 to watch what might be Gaethje’s final war. We’ll have all the highlights and news from the event as they happen.
