Tyson Fury says “I’m back doing what I love” after announcing his comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Fury will face Makhmudov on April 11, live on Netflix, with a venue to be announced, although it will be in the UK, per Ring Magazine owner, Turki Alalshikh.
‘The Gypsy King’ has been training in Thailand after confirming that he would return to the ring in January, almost a year after announcing his retirement following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
“Well it’s official I’m back doing what i to do,” the 37-year-old said on Instagram.
“I’ve brought the biggest network along with me @netflix @netflixuk this is going to be astronomical.
“Blessed by God
@turki #themacisback #boxing #world.”
The Morecambe man was beaten by unanimous decision against Usyk in December 2024, seven months after suffering a split decision loss to the Ukrainian in a bid for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
Makhmudov has been linked as Fury’s return opponent for weeks and is familiar to UK fans following his victory over Dave Allen in October.
The 36-year-old has lost twice in his career, both times by stoppage against Agit Kabayel and Guido Vianello respectively.

The Russian though has vowed to cause a major upset.
“I am thrilled about the opportunity,” he said.
“I’m coming to deliver a war.
“Tyson Fury has been a big champion.
“I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W.”

Fury was expected to finally face long-time rival Anthony Joshua, but his plans are unknown after he was involved in a horror car crash in December which took the lives of two of his close friends.
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn said on Tuesday he expects the 36-year-old to return to the ring.
‘The Gypsy King’ has named WBO heavyweight world champion, Fabio Wardley as a potential option for later this year.

“Excited to be back,” Fury added.
“Heart’s always been and always will be in boxing.
“Someone go tell the king that the ace is back!”
