Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Amir Albazi squared off in a Flyweight bout earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 7, 2026) at UFC Vegas 113 inside Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. In a stellar showing, Horiguchi picked apart his opponent for three full rounds.

Albazi opened with heavy pressure but was met with good lateral movement by the Karate fighter, who attacked the lead leg early on. Horiguchi’s first 1-2 of the fight found the chin and set the tone. After some grappling along the fence, Horiguchi connected on a couple more hard punches. Albazi fired back with a big swing of his own, but midway through the round, Horiguchi was firmly leading the dance. Out of nowhere, a huge left hand landed for Albazi and momentarily floored the Japanese fighter, who admittedly didn’t appear to be hurt by the shot. Albazi came close on a body lock takedown soon afterward but couldn’t establish control. Back in the open, Horiguchi landed with a Southpaw left before the bell.

Albazi came out for the second hard, countering a low kick and trying to turn his charge into a takedown. Ever elusive, Horiguchi escaped to the center and rocked Albazi with a left hook over the top. “The Karate Kid” pursued and landed more hard shots in the following exchange. Albazi kept his wits about him, but the Iranian standout was starting to get chewed up. Horiguchi’s stiff jab landed repeatedly, and Albazi began to bleed freely. In the closing minute, Albazi was able to gain some good clinch positions, but even still he couldn’t convert them into takedowns.

With five minutes remaining, “The Prince” needed something massive.

Horiguchi came out swinging despite his lead, landing a major left hook and jump knee in the opening 15 seconds of the third! Albazi attacked with a takedown, and Horiguchi’s knees very briefly touched the canvas. After some clinch control time, Horiguchi was back on the offensive and landing heavily. Another left hand caused a brief chicken dance, and Horiguchi sat down in his stance and swarmed with power punches. Albazi clinched to survive the assault and killed another minute on the clock, but he was no closer to rallying. When the two split apart, Horiguchi was right back on the action with his foot on the gas, landing hard shots.

There would be no shocking comeback.

For the second time in less than three months, Horiguchi delivered the goods! The Karateka’s left hand was on fire in this fight, sticking Albazi with lots of hard jabs and then switching it up with punishing left hooks. He bloodied and battered the top-ranked Flyweight, shutting down his wrestling with relative ease. The Flyweight title picture is wide open right now, and Horiguchi might have just secured his opportunity with another great performance.

Result: Horiguchi defeats Albazi via decision
