Dana White isn’t completely saying no to a matchup between Jon Jones and Alex Pereira at the upcoming UFC White House card, but the UFC CEO has some serious reservations.
Fight fans have been interested in a meeting between “Bones” and “Poatan” since 2024 when White said the superfight was a possibility. Both fighters have stoked the fire since then in an attempt to make one of the most intriguing fights available to UFC, but things having materialized for more than one reason. None more glaring than the lack of trust White has for Jones after the way he handled the Tom Aspinall situation.
On Friday, White sat down for an interview with Complex to discuss a multitude of topics (including Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler and UFC 325’s backlash). One of the things White touched on was a potential matchup between Jones and Pereira at the UFC White House card. White didn’t have a ton to say, but he left the door open just enough for fight fans to still have hope.
“At 205? That would be a fight,” said White. “But can I count on Jon Jones? Can’t have Jon Jones doing something bad or pulling out of the f—king White House fight.”
At the end of the day, do you think White will trust Jones enough to make this fight happen?
